Fondi Shqiptar i Zhvillimit/ Albanian Development Fund,  started the implementation of the project “ADRILINK” within the Interreg Cooperation Program “ADRION 2014-2020”, with a specific objective: Promoting the valorization and sustainable conservation of natural and cultural heritage as an asset for development in the Adriatic-Ionian region. Adriatic Landscape Day was the first public event in this project area, gathering all local stakeholders in Valbona which took place on 13 March, 2o21. The event was structured in three main phases:

1. Plenary Conference; in which the participants and the present stakeholders were greeted by the project manager , Mr Ylli Take, and the project implementation team who introduced all present participants and stakeholders to the ADRILINK project.

2. Tables of discussion; the participants were all divided in three groups, each having a specific discussion theme, respectively:
(i). Green table: Landscape and Tourism
(ii). Red table: Experiences, itineraries and connections
(iii). Yellow table: Ideas for a new Landscape Tourism
3. Participatory Mapping; in which all interested stakeholders took part in the discussion focusing on exploring and defining significant elements of Valbona’s territory and picturing them in a map.
Overall, the Adriatic Landscape Day event was a great success and met its purpose. All three sessions were very dynamic and the participants took active part in discussions. The purpose of Adriatic Landscape Days was to bring together local and regional stakeholders to discuss solutions, itineraries and initiatives to valorize the local landscape in terms of tourism and development. In conclusion, the ALD event in Valbona resulted in creating a clear understanding and a “shared vision” of landscape encompassing not only Valbona, but all project areas.
